Even though netball is classed as a 'non-contact sport', we all know that this is not entirely true and people accidentally (or sometimes not-so-accidentally) hurt other players. Not only this but accidents do happen and occasionally you will get the odd sprain or strain.

The most common types of injuries through netball are sprains, bruising, fractures and dislocations. Ankle, wrist, hand, finger and knee injuries occur frequently. Common causes of injuries are awkward landings, slips and falls, player contact/collision, overexertion, overuse and being hit by the ball. Usually, players only tend to fall over and bruise themselves, but occasionally, things can become more serious and fracture or even dislocate their joints.

You can sprain joints such as your ankle, your wrist and your feet by even just being clumsy when trying to catch the ball. Also, collisions can have the same affect, or if you're very unlucky, could possibly cause unconsiousness. Only if you're quite clumsy, this may happen a lot to you xD hopefully you aren't..
